Consumer Limits

For Instant Credit Payments, consumers are assigned limits based on a specific bank they are using. Limits take in to account only Instant Credit Payment transactions for which funds are still in transit. Instant Credit limits work very similar to credit card’s credit limits. With credit cards a person can spend the whole amount of credit limit in one transaction and then be able to do new purchases only after the balance (or portion of it) is paid. Similar, in Instant Bank Transfer system each person has a credit limit which depends on the person's history and the bank used for a specific transaction. A user is allowed to spend up to the limit regardless of the period and then, as funds from payments are received, these amounts are added back to the available credit limit of the person.
